Delete your account and data
DavesWorkouts · Updated 2 November 2026
You can delete a DavesWorkouts account from the app or website, or ask David Kee Crees in Australia for help at privacy@davesworkouts.com. You do not need to install the Android app to read or use these instructions.
Delete through the app or website
- Open DavesWorkouts and sign in to the account you want to remove.
- Open Settings. On Android choose Delete account & history; on the website open Delete account and data.
- Read the confirmation and confirm deletion. The website asks you to type DELETE before submitting the request.
If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app, email privacy@davesworkouts.com with the subject “DavesWorkouts account deletion”. Tell us the account alias or other non-secret information that will help locate the account. We will arrange a proportionate ownership check before disclosing or deleting account data. Do not email your password, preview access key, purchase token or an identity document in the first message.
What deletion removes
The account's active sign-in sessions, profile and privacy declaration, personal workout results, authored workouts and exercise submissions, reports, blocks and group memberships are removed from the active service. Groups owned by the account are removed. This is account deletion, not simply sign-out or account freezing.
Rooms that remain for other participants replace your direct account identifiers and alias with a per-room deleted-member marker; unfinished sessions end. Participants may still recognise the session from context. We do not describe this retained history as guaranteed anonymous.
Purchases and earlier copies
The service can retain a receipt-token hash and entitlement status detached from the deleted account so that a valid remove-ads purchase can be restored and duplicate claims prevented. Ask privacy support to review or remove receipt-related information where applicable. Deleting this app account does not delete your Google account or Google's Play purchase history.
Current database backups are configured for seven days. Earlier copies can remain temporarily in backups, infrastructure snapshots, database journals or provider records. A deletion request is not a promise of immediate forensic erasure from every copy. If a backup is restored, the operator must reapply relevant deletions before reopening the service. Provider retention and restore procedures are part of the preview's public-release review.
Local data and exports
Guest solo history and preferences may exist only on your device. Android's delete-account action also clears that app's local history; for guest-only data use the app or Android storage controls. On the website, use Privacy & your data or your browser's site-data controls to remove local copies. Copies on another phone or browser are separate and are not remotely wiped by a server account request.
If you want a copy first, use Privacy & your data → Download my data on the website, or request an account export through privacy support. Technical clients can use authenticated GET /v1/me/export; authenticated DELETE /v1/me performs account deletion. Do not put login tokens in a public URL.
Read the full privacy policy for data categories, retention, advertising controls and your applicable rights. Privacy access, export and deletion remain available when age-related restrictions block other online features.
